Silky under 10 Reds cruise past the Mosman Swans

On a beautiful morning at the home of AFL, the Reds looked in fine form after some intense handball training in the week, intent on playing some fantastic footy, and goodness didn’t they.

The first quarter saw four goals, with the scoring opened by Max with a set shot from the pocket, and he struck it absolutely perfectly, a true goal of the season contender. Three more goals followed, from Noah, another from Max and Eli (who had the Hammer working today, goodness). With a season high 13 handballs in the quarter, it was total domination – 25-1 at quarter time. Dream footy.

Incredibly, the second quarter got better, with some wonderful handling out of the centre, which led to three more goals – Max once again, a beauty from Thomas (who struck the ball sweetly all game) and Noah again (as he edges closer to 30 goals for the season – swoon!), three behinds saw the score reach 46-0 at the long break. Handball count? Off the chart – 26 in the quarter, which is phenomenal.

More of the same in quarter three – 13 handballs, 7 inside 50’s, 4 goals (courtesy of Eli twice, Billy and Thomas – all great goals). 71-0 at 3/4 time. The fourth quarter saw another goal – As Thomas secured the third hat-trick of the game!

Max and Noah then combined for the Swans (on loan for the quarter) to kick their only points (2 behinds). It finished 78-2.

The boys look in magnificent form for the finals, great across the park today. Coach beaming.
